Stift St. Benedikt retirement home, Nuremberg
Due to the restrained design, the barrier-free products are not perceived as disturbing when not in use.
The senior citizens' and nursing home Stift St. Benedikt in Nuremberg has made it its business to respect the individuality of each resident. Single or double apartments are available for the majority of residents. The apartments have a kitchen block and a bathroom. The combined living and bedroom can be individually furnished with your own furniture. The housing concept promotes the independence of the residents, as they are encouraged to take over the activities they are able to carry out independently.
Care, if necessary, in a humane manner is another important approach. To this end, the concept places particular emphasis on the private and intimate sphere of the individual. For this reason each apartment has a bathroom. These are designed to provide support to the user. The washbasin has integrated handles so that you can lean on it or pull it up with a wheelchair. Shower and WC are equipped with holding systems that provide safety and support the movement sequences. A folding shower seat was also installed in the shower. When not in use, it can be folded to the wall to save space. Due to the restrained design, the barrier-free products are not perceived as disturbing when not in use.
